The prize cannot have come at a better time, as businesses within the industry face tough times ahead. The prize will consist of a variety of options to help the winners promote their business by using Archant London printed or online media services. Archant London’s Head of Communication, Steve Fenton, commented that, "In challenging times both businesses and consumers turn to tried and trusted brands, you know what you can expect. Archant brands are embedded in communities and are a part of every day life, and our experiences show more people are sticking with trusted sources of local media during the economic down turn. This prize is designed with a view to reviewing and advising leading businesses on how they present themselves to potential as well as existing customers. So by offering winners the chance to promote their business with us will in turn, help raise their company profile and re-enforce the message that they are continuing as a driving force during recession".

Through our newspaper, magazine and web platforms our publications have supported the local property market, with commercial ties to many local agents and developers .
In support of local communities we also engage in and encourage best practice as strong local businesses are essential to the success of the region and its people.
In support of these objectives we have long been responsible for, together with our parent company Archant London, the London & South East Recruitment Awards, The Food & Drink Awards and The Thames Gateway Business Awards which celebrate excellence in their respective fields.
The Property Awards encourage best practice and to celebrate outstanding performance across the property and housing sector.
We hope that the awards will provide reassurance to local people about the quality, competence and integrity of local property businesses, allow the property community to celebrate what is best about their industry and to deliver and exciting and entertaining evening on Friday 18th September.
